Environmental group sues Army Corps over pipeline project
The Missouri Coalition for the Environment is suing the over what it calls the agency’s failure to release public records related to a planned Midwest oil pipeline. The St. Louis-based environmental group said it was improperly denied records it sought through a Freedom of Information Act request about Enbridge, the pipeline transport company building the 600-mile oil pipeline from Illinois to Oklahoma, KMOX reports. Construction on the pipeline is already under way. The environmental group sued the Army Corps in federal district court in Washington, D. C.
